KUALA LUMPUR: Gonzalo Peillat destroyed Malaysia as his four goals helped Argentina thrash their Asian rivals 5-2 in a Hockey World League Semi-Final Group A match in London on Friday.

Peillat took his tally to six goals in two matches with successful penalty corner executions in the fourth, 11th, 40th and 47th minutes with Argentina pulling away after the score was locked at 2-2.

Facundo Callioni scored Argentina's fifth in the 49th minute with Sharil Saabah (seventh minute) and Tengku Ahmad Tajuddin (11th) replying for Malaysia.

The national team will take on England later on Saturday.

In a Group B match, Canada thrashed Pakistan 6-0.
