KUALA LUMPUR: MotoGP rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah has offered moral support to Zulfahmi Khairuddin who quit Moto2 recently.

Zulfahmi, a replacement for Hafizh left SIC Racing team after only four races recently.

“I think it was not easy for Zulfahmi to make that decision. He could not make the necessary adjustments.

“It was also difficult for me when I spent four seasons in Moto2.

“As a rider, you need to know your crew and also have some technical knowledge. I hope he does not give up,” he said.

Hafizh, who rides for MotoGP’s Monster Yamaha Tech3, said: “Azlan Shah (Kamaruzaman) could be an ideal replacement for Zulfahmi as he represented Kawasaki in Moto2 in the past,” he added.
