AT long last, the authorities have now decided to pull up telecommunications companies for not caring about the inefficient Internet service they have been providing to their subscribers.
I refer to the statement by Communications and Multimedia Minister Gobind Singh Deo in the New Straits Times on Oct 6, urging telcos to provide Internet speed as promised.
I have written about this numerous times to the extent that I was so fed up with the topic that I terminated the service of a certain telco company.
I will not resume the service until I am fully satisfied that the telco has made some changes and ensure that it will provide good and reliable service.
Hopefully, the promise will not remain just that but will indeed be a reality. Let there be healthy competition among telecommunication companies.
