ALOR STAR: Voters in the state have been reminded to not fall for Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) ploy and ‘experiment’ with their votes as DAP appears to be dominating the Opposition bloc.
Kedah Pas Youth chief Salim Mahmood said DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang had urged PH not to waste its potential wresting the state from Barisan Nasional (BN) by fielding parties that he deems as being incapable of winning seats.
He said Kit Siang had stressed that PH have to win four state seats known as BN's fortresses, which are Ayer Hangat, Kuah, Bukit Kayu Hitam and Jitra, and at the same time wanted the Gurun and Kulim state seats to be given to DAP to contest.
“It appears as if Kit Siang is giving order to the parties in Pakatan Harapan.
“On top of that, he seems to be hinting that PKR, Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) nor Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) would not be getting the chance to contest in Kedah.
“Considering the possibilities of DAP getting two extra seats in the state, it shows how the party is cunningly using its influence on PH component parties. Kedahans should avoid from falling into the political trap set by the party,” he told reporters this after the Kedah Pas Youth gathering at the state party complex here today.
Meanwhile, Dewan Pemuda Pas Malaysia together with some non-governmental organisations (NGO) would organise ‘Himpunan Munajat Sejuta Ummah’ at Klang Valley to show Malaysian’s solidarity against the ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
National Pas Youth chief Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi said the brutality against the Rohingya needs to be addressed urgently.
“We have appointed Sanusi Mohd Noor as Pas Relief chairman in regard of the Rohingya issue. However, we have yet to fix the date for the solidarity programme,” he said.
