KUALA LUMPUR: United States President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak appear to have built a good rapport during their historic meeting at the White House in Washington, D.C. today.

Just hours after their encounter, Trump posted a video on Twitter showcasing highlights of the much-anticipated bilateral meeting.

He captioned the 29-second clip with: “It was a great honor to welcome Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak of Malaysia and his distinguished delegation to the @WhiteHouse today!”

Trump and his entourage were seen giving a warm welcome to Najib and the Malaysian delegates, which included Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed and Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Ali Hamsa.

The leaders, donning matching blue ties, shook hands and showed off their pearly whites before kicking off the four-eyed meeting at the Oval Office and the delegation meeting between the two countries.

Representing the US, among others, were Vice-President Michael Pence, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Defence Secretary James Mattis.
