KUALA LUMPUR: “I am solo once again and it was an amicable divorce,” confirmed actress Natasha Hudson.
“I am sorry but at this moment, I can't elaborate further about the split. I hope everyone will give me and my family some space to sort things out,” she said in a news report today.
The 36-year-old actress was responding to rumours that her marriage to Phlowtron singer Carleed Khaza or Khalid Kamal had come to an end, and added that she and her former husband “remained friends”.
On Sept 25, Natasha wrote a long post on her Instagram about “being alone” and “starting over”, which had sparked speculations among her fans and followers.
“I am fine and will carry on with life with my children as per normal.
“I believe God knows best, and that He is the best of planners,” said Natasha whose real name is Natasha Liana Mohd Redzuan.
The actress whose best known films include Chermin, Tipu Kanan Tipu Kiri, Sumolah, Langgar and Lemak Kampung Santan said that she was currently on a humanitarian mission in Lombok, Indonesia organised by Global Peace Malaysia, Cinta Syria and Amalhope.
“Besides running a business, I keep myself happy doing humanitarian work, locally and internationally,” said Natasha whose acting career began in 2007.
Natasha and Carleed, 39, tied the knot in April 2012 and have two children, Naeema Kalila, 5 and Faatimah, 3.
The artiste also has a daughter Neesa Helena, 10, from her second marriage to Datuk Shahrin Zahari from 2007 to 2009.
Her first marriage to Mohd Faiz Mohd Raih in 2006 lasted four months.
Carleed formed Phlowtron with Saiful Amri in 2000, and it was nominated for Most Promising Act at the 2003 Anugerah Industri Muzik.
