KUALA LUMPUR: Hael Husaini Razmi scored his first win in Anugerah Juara Lagu when his song Jampi came out tops at last night's Anugerah Juara Lagu 32 (AJL32).
Jampi, which he co-wrote and co-composed with Ezra Kong bagged the top prize, beating a strong challenge from 'Separuh Mati Ku Bercinta' created by Ajai and sung by Dayang Nurfaizah.
Hael took home RM50,000 and a CJ Wow Shop product voucher worth RM10,000.
Duo Star winners Ernie Zakri and Syamel Fodzly won RM12,000 for Best Vocals for their song 'Aku Cinta' created by Syamel.
Khai Bahar's 'Bayang' earned him a Samsung A8 smartphone for the Samsung Favourite Singer Award.
The first runner-up was Azmi of Caliph Buskers with 'Sejati', written and composed by Faizal Tahir and Mike Chan.
Haqiem Rusli won third place, with 'Tergantung Sepi', composed by Ibnu and written by Gouffran.
Azmi and Haqiem won RM35,000 and RM20,000, respectively.
The Best Performance went to Altimet who sang 'Amboi' and won RM12,000 and a Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
In total, 12 songs were chosen for AJL32. They were: 'Akhirnya Cinta' performed by Salma Asis (composer Ajai/lyricist Slen), 'Separuh Mati Ku Bercinta' by Dayang Nurfaizah (Ajai), 'Aku Cinta' by Syamel Fodzly and Ernie Zakri (Syamel), 'Aku Yang Sebenar' by Hazama Azmi and 'Penglipur Lara' (Datuk M. Nasir/Ad Samad), 'Amboi' by Altimet (Navigator/Altimet), 'Bayang' by Khai Bahar (Harry Khalifah/Patrick Anohada), 'Jampi' by Hael Husaini (Ezra Kong/Hael Husaini), 'Lebih Sempurna' by Syamel (Syamel/Edry Abdul Halim/Boy Anaz), 'Menahan Rindu' by Wany Hasrita (Ibnu/Gouffran), 'Sejati' by Azmi Caliph Buskers (Faizal Tahir/Mike Chan), 'Tergantung Sepi' by Haqiem Rusli (Ibnu / Gouffran) and 'Warkah Untuk Mu' by Ara Johari (Hang Nadim/Laq).
With its theme Fashion And Music, AJL32 was telecast live from the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, on TV3 at 9pm.

The show also featured performances by artistes Stacy Anam, AG Coco, Edrie Hashim, Waris, Datuk Awie, Siti Sarah Raisuddin, Datuk A. Rahman Hassan and Datuk Jeffrydin.
Since its inception in 1986, AJL honours the year's best songs, composers, lyricists and vocalists based on the chart show Muzik Muzik.
