KUALA LUMPUR : Actor Ashraf Sinclair attributes his ongoing and solid marriage with 34-year-old Indonesian actress and singer, Bunga Cinta Lestari, to effective two-way communication.
In a recent news report by BH Online, the 37-year-old artiste said that each day was an ongoing process of getting to know each other a little more deeply, which had eventually led to a nine-year union without any secrets between the two.
“We are always open and honest in our discussions since I feel that communication is a key element in a healthy and lasting relationship, even more so after marriage,” said Ashraf, who has been residing in Indonesia after tying the knot with Bunga on Nov 8, 2008.
He added: “My wife is my soul mate. As such, it is crucial that she is privy to everything that I do on a daily basis. Naturally, we’re pretty comfortable about sharing anything and everything.”
“Aside from good and open communication, we personally believe in compromise as well because there are always ups and downs in every marriage,” said the actor, who has a 7-year-old son, Noah Sinclair, with Bunga.
On a different note, Ashraf is currently filming a miniseries titled Dosa that also stars Datuk M. Nasir, Hisyam Hamid and Remy Ishak.
