PETALING JAYA: Hot on the heels of Newbee's victorious campaign at ESL One Genting, a new gaming centre said to be the largest eSports club in Southeast Asia recently opened its doors to the public.
Taking up 17,000 square feet of space at Jaya Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, Battle Arena is a massive wonderland that is the realisation of every gamers' dream.
The sprawling complex comes with some of the best gaming equipment and facilities that money can buy. Vulcan Post reported that there are no less than 114 high-gaming PCs, dedicated booths for video game streamers, and VIP rooms for professional teams to train.
But expensive PCs and fancy gaming pods are a dime a dozen at most gaming centres these days. To stand out from the rest of the pack, Battle Arena has a futuristic centre stage that transforms into a battle arena during competitions.
The company hopes that the arena will become the go-to venue to host word class eSports tournaments in the future.
At its opening, Battle Arena hosted prominent gaming personalities, including European powerhouse Team Secret and Malaysian player Wong Hock Chuan.
Deputy Education Minister P Kamalanathan was also present at the launch.
