KUALA LUMPUR: Huawei Honor Malaysia has launched its latest smartphone, the honor 8 Pro, which comes equipped with a dual-lens camera and long-lasting battery life.
Huawei Consumer Business Group Regional Product Marketing Director, Luke Au, said the 12-megapixel dual-lens camera worked in tandem to deliver the perfect shot with the camera's wide aperture range (f/0.95-f/16) delivering DSLR-like depth effects for photo and video shooting.
"We put emphasis on quality, innovation and open collaboration with global partners and the honor 8 Pro aims to deliver that.
"It redefines large-screen smartphones by delivering absolute performance for power users in an ultra-thin minimalist design," he said after launching the smartphone here, today.
Au said the honor 8 Pro will be on sale in the Malaysian market beginning today at a retail price of RM1,999.
The 5.7-inch smartphone with 128GB internal storage comes with 2K Quad Hi Definition display and 4000mAh battery, which has advanced power saving features that spells the end of battery anxiety.
The Huawei honor 8 Pro, available in Navy blue and Midnight black colour variants, runs on the latest premium flagship Kirin 960 processor and an all-new EMUI 5.1 software.
The new smartphone also supports the shooting of four million videos, encoded in the efficient H.265 codec which produces files twice.
Au said the device's ultra-thin 6.97 metal body is a compact cluster of over 1,000 components.
He said vMall, which is the official licensed e-store for Honor and Huawei smartphones, will be the first online platform to offer the honor 8 Pro, followed by Honor experience stores and display zones beginning tomorrow. -- BERNAMA
