KUALA LUMPUR: The latest variant of the Volkswagen Jetta Allstar and a special Volkswagen Beetle 60th Merdeka Edition were launched at the Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam yesterday, by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM).
Unveiled in conjunction with the Volkswagen Fest 2017, the latest edition of the Volkswagen Jetta Allstar is fitted with exclusive accessories worth RM3,000, and include aluminium pedals, rear spoiler bumps, side plates, logos and “Allstar” carpets.
The price for the Jetta Allstar starts from RM109,990.
The Volkswagen Beetle 60th Merdeka Edition, created in honour of the nation's independence month, is decorated with a “60th Merdeka” sticker on the bonnet, which alludes to the iconic Herbie Beetle model.
Only 16 units of the special edition vehicle are being offered, at RM136,888. They are available in white and silver.
VPCM managing director Erik Winter said apart from the launch of the two models, the Volkswagen Fest 2017, which runs until Aug 13, is dedicated to creating a carnival-like atmosphere where visitors can experience Volkswagen's car models and be exposed to its latest promotions.
Special activities and offers, such as free vehicle checks, spare parts and labour discounts, and a showcase of classic Volkswagen cars such as the Beetle and the Kombi, also await visitors.
