Splashing good time
Must Do
A trip to Kuantan will not be fun without stopping by at Bukit Gambang Water Park. Kids will be very excited when greeted by Club Penguin online game characters which are the water park’s mascot. Try the exciting wave pool at the Coco Beach and the gentle slow river ride on a double float with your kids. At night, visit the outdoor fun fair to try all the rides.
Avoid
Don’t enter the water park after eating a heavy meal to avoid stomach discomfort. Take note that you are not allowed to bring food and drinks into the water park. There are lots of food stalls inside the park. Bags will be searched and food found will be confiscated.
Good Eats
Although there are many restaurants, the cosy kopitiam is worth checking out. It is located just a floor above the ticketing counter. The roti canai is delicious and comes with a generous portion of chicken curry.
Top Shops
At night when the outdoor fun fair comes alive check out the batik stall. For a fee, you can try your hand at batik painting. You are even allowed to take home your own creation.
Insider Tips
You don’t have to carry money into the water park as this park practises cashless transaction. You can deposit a certain amount of money together with your entrance fee which will be bar-coded into your wristband. If you need to buy anything or rent the floats, the amount will be deducted when the wristband is scanned. So you won’t have to worry about holding on to your loose change. Any excess amount can be cashed in at the refund counter. And if you run short of cash, there’s a top-up counter within the water park itself.
